Jeanette Bubar

Jen graduated from DI-S High School and Husson University’s Business Admin program. She has deep roots in the Stonington, Deer Isle and Isle au Haut areas and is amazed, on a daily basis, by the beauty of this place we call home! Jen has deep respect for the hardworking men and women who choose to earn a living from this rugged coast! She spent several years representing fishing families in Federal & State fisheries policy-making proceedings, along with being a board member of the Maine Fishermen’s Forum. Jen served on several local boards, including Healthy Island Project where she presented the concept of WinterFest, a weekend-long slate of free activities to help get people out & about during the chilly winter and each year culminates with an awesome display of fireworks; truly a treat for all!

Jen developed a penchant for bookkeeping while working under the tutelage of her Mom, and eventually was elected to her Mom’s position as Town Clerk for the Town of Stonington. When not crunching numbers or assisting with rentals at The Island Agency, Jen loves the outdoors, tending to her small flock of laying hens and guinea fowl, or enjoying adventures with her dog, Levi. Also, top of her fun list, is spending time with her awesome grandkids, family and her circle of friends.
